Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Good morning!  Another last minute card to show you today, again featuring Maja Design papers and Magnolia Doohickey dies!

The image inside the house is the gorgeous fireplace stamp from the Dashing Through The Snow stamp set.  I have placed it behind some acetate that I have scored with a diamond pattern to look like a leaded window.

I have used the So Wrapped Merry Christmas Doohickey die for the tags and a snowflake Doohickey.  The gold hearts on the top of the lace are the offcuts from the Heart Background Doohickey.

Once again I have used the shutter die from the Flower and Window Shutter Doohickey set, and I have added Aleene's Glitter snow to the window sill.  The sentiment is from the Merry Little Santa stamp set by Magnolia.

The cute snowman is also a Doohickey die!

I hope you like it and thanks for looking! x

Vintage Snowman Card

Good morning!  Today's card is very similar to the one I shared yesterday, but this time I've used the Snowman Doohickey die as the focus.  I cut five pieces of all the Snowman components so that I could glue them together to make a chipboard style piece.  I have used Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink to colour the carrot nose and Walnut Stain DIstress Ink to ink the edges.  The mittens charm and seam binding are from Craft Heaven.

The papers are from Maja Design and I have added Aleene's Glitter Snow on the edges of the paper and dotted here and there on the elements of the card.

The snowman is holding a heart shaped snowball, also covered in Glitter Snow.  The sentiments are from Magnolia and the flowers and snowflakes were cut with Doohickey dies.  Please see yesterday's post for details of how I made the flowers.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

A Vintage Christmas Card

Good afternoon!  I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas!  Today I'd like to show you one of the last minute cards I made.  I always leave my hand delivery cards until last, and this is one of them.  I have used gorgeous papers from Maja Design and Doohickey dies from Magnolia.

The main focus of the card is the beautiful shutters, cut with the Early Bird Volume 22, Shutter Flower and Window Shutter die.  I cut ten pieces in all so that I could glue them together to look like chipboard pieces.

I have used some older Magnolia sentiment stamps, Let it Snow and Merry Christmas.

I made the flowers using the Doohickey dies from the window shutter set, using green Foamiran.  I have inked the edges of the flowers with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink, sprinkled them with glitter and added red stamens.  I've also given them a touch of snow using Aleene's Glitter Snow.

The gorgeous gold scroll has been cut with a Doohickey die from Volume 23.

The snowflakes have all been cut using various Doohickey snowflake dies.

The beautiful snowflake charm and seam binding are from Craft Heaven.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Let it Snow

Good morning!  I'm on a roll with the Christmas cards now!  This one features the gorgeous Tilda from the With Love From Paris Collection and Maja Design papers from their Christmas Season Collection.

I have painted Tilda with Distress Inks and once again added some Aleene's Glitter Snow around her feet and along the card edges.  I am loving this medium!

I have used the snowflake Doohickey dies from Volume 23 and added gems to their centres.  The card base was cut with the frame from Vintage Box 6.

I have used some gorgeous blue seam binding from Craft Heaven and a diamante snowflake charm.  The sentiment is an older one from Magnolia.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Dashing Through the Snow...

Good morning!  I have another Christmas card using the Magnolia Christmas Pop Up box, this time from the Dashing Through the Snow Collection.

As always, I have painted Tilda with Distress Inks.  I have used some Aleene's Glitter Snow underneath her feet and to add the snowdrops around her.  It is difficult to see on the photo but it has a lovely soft shimmer to it.  I have used A New Year paper from Maja's Holiday in the Alps collection.

I have used the Slender Firs Doohickey for the trees and three different Magnolia snowflake Doohickey dies for the snowflakes behind the image.

I used the Dashing Through the Snow sentiment from the set but cut each word out to stagger them on my card.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Merry Little Santa

Good morning!  Today I'd like to share a Christmas card with you using the Merry Little Santa from the Magnolia Christmas pop up box and Maja Design papers.  I am so behind with my Christmas cards this year!  I will be blogging quite a few in the coming days!

I have painted Merry Little Santa with Distress Inks using the no lines technique and added white dots to her cheeks and eyes with a white gel pen.  I have also added Stardust Stickles to the bauble.  I have stamped around the edges of Tilda with the music score stamp that comes in the set.

I just love this new sentiment that came with them too!  The Merry Christmas was trimmed from the bottom of the Maja paper and I have used the Magnolia heart background Doohickey to create the gold hearts.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

There is no place like home for the holidays

Good morning,

christmas is just around the corner and we all have to make more christmas cards, I think.
Last year I bought this wonderful stamp set from Magnolia and didn't use it. But now I took it out of my shelve and coloured it.
I decided to use the no-line-colouring. I'll be honest. I have to accustom to this style...
Because I love snow on my christmas cards, I used my Fran-táge.
The background I created with Distress Oxide Inks again. This makes every card look very special.

I hope you enjoy the christmas season.
Have a nice weekend.
