A Recipe Book..

What's Cooking?
Yeah.. That's our theme this week..

With the gorgeous Magnolia Recipe Card Collection 2017 released a few weeks ago there was no doubt what our DT Barbara was going to play with..
Let's see what she made..

A stunning recipe book handmade from top to bottom..

These are the projects we like!

There is a Maja Design Collection that holds all of these amazing blue patterned papers you see on here..

It's the fab Summertime Collection..

There's a special promotion going on in the store so these and many many other papers are now ON SALE..

As we said before Barbara used lots of amazing new Magnolia products for this book..

One of them is the cutest Edwin ever..

His name is Chef Edwin and Barbara coloured him with her Distress Inks..

The highlights are made with a Ranger White Opaque Pen and as always there's some Dina Wakley Gesso layed around..

Note that Barbara always uses the Distress Micro Glaze to seal her coloured images..

It's very easy to apply and dries to a smudge resistant, waterproof finish.. 

Several Magnolia Doohickeys were used on here, but the biggest one is the Recipe Card..
This one is great for card's bases too..

The other Magnolia dies our Barbara used are the following:
The Old Swedish Lace
Plate and Cutlery
Medallion & Cutting Board (Barbara coloured those with Distress Inks too)

Lots of trims dangling on the side..
Our white and blue Vintage Seam Binding, the Je t'aime Lace Trim and a bit of bakers twine to hold our beautiful Love Cup charm..

All the edges are machine sewn and Barbara pulled out one of the Pion Design 'oldies' to create the text behind Edwin..
It's the evergreen 12x12 Cut Out Sheet from the Studio of Memories collection..
Yeah.. That's the one with all those pretty butterflies..
And it's almost impossible to find since it's been discontinued by the manufacturer..
But we have some more.. Yes we do!

Never Hide Your Wings..

Hello guys!

It's Sunday and as usual it's our DT member Liz who's gonna inspire you a bit today..
This is the last creation for this week's theme
You've Been Framed..

Let's see what she came up with this time..

No coloured image for this one..
Just some unbelievably gorgeous Maja Design and Pion Design papers and a few sensational embellishments..

She used three Maja 12x12 sheets from the Vintage Romance collection..
They are called He's My Man, Happily Ever After and Together Forever
and one 'oldie' from Pion Design..
It's the Cut Out Sheet from the Studio Of Memories collection..
That's where that awesome butterly came from..

The focal point of this card is the gorgeous Scrapiniec Round Frame..
And there's one of Tim Holtz's Pen Nibs on the butterfly..
She added some splashes of Gesso here and there to shabby it up a bit..

And here are the wonderful WOC Chrysanthemums..
The leaves peeking out there were made with the lovely Rose Leaf Doohickey..
And a bit of our super pretty Lace Estelle is hiding under all those layers too..

Here we are
with the last Believe, Achieve, Succeed creation of the week..
Our DT Liz made this stunning card for today..

Check out the stunning papers she chose..
These are just some of the wonderful Maja Design sheets from the Home for the Holidays collection..
I don't need to point out that these papers are so versatile that you can use them for basically any kind of project.. Not just winter ones.. You can craft with these all year long..
This card is a perfect example..
And let me tell you that if you used all your stash already you can get some more now at an incredible price..
We reduced the whole collection so now's the time to get these..

Liz also used our beautiful WOC flowers, a Damask Paper straw, a Bark Star and some Doohickey dies..

Liz coloured this super cute Tiddly Inks graduate image with Distress Inks and used two Spellbinders sets to cut it out..

The base of the card was made with the Vintage Square Doohickey and this gorgeous tag is a Magnolia die too..
It's called Tilda Tag..

The sentiment on it..
From the Stempelglede Just A Note set..

And the gorgeous Vintage Seam Binding tied to it..

Flower Fairy..

Good morning everyone!

Hope you're enjoying your weekend so far..
A new week and a new theme starts tomorrow but here's our DT Liz with the last
Sunny Days and Smiles inspiration..

She made this beautiful card in pink and green tones..
Liz used the Roseus sheet from Pion Design for the base and then topped it with a part of the Lily of the Valley 6x6 sheet from the Easter Greetings collection..
There is some cheesecloth under the image and she stitched around it too..

 Here are some close-ups of the wonderful details..
The Scrapiniec Rosettes..
Many many WOC Open Roses and Sweetheart Blossoms..
The Chicken Wire Doohickey..
The stamped butterfly is from the Vintage Baby Stempelglede set..

More flowers and another chipboard Rosette..
A bit of our stunning Lace Juliane..
The butterflies are fussy cut out of the Pion Cut Out Sheet 12x12 from the Studio of Memories Collection..
And finally the Tilda tag that was hiding in there..
Liz added a bit of white Vintage Seam Binding on it along with the super cute Sandal charm..
And stamped this lovely Happy Birthday sentiment from the Stempelglede Just A Note set..
